I don't remember much about my journey to here Except there was water all around me,
and I can't forget that bright light
at the end of that dark, small tunnel
Nor the hand that
was pulling me towards it.
Oh and the suffocating feeling,
As the water fell away,
And then, swoooooooooosh, I gasped,
Struggling to breathe air...
I was in a new world.I was finally there
..I took my first breathe
I remember seeing nothing but the light...
and this sound coming out of me
My chest all tight, and this cold sensation
Before I was wrapped in something
soft, and warm and placed in my mother's arms.
I only remember a voice guiding me thru this and
the last words it spoke:
Remember this passage and all that you
see; for it wont be much different when you
Come back home to me.
Remember these words and this voice
That you hear...so that when you draw
Your last breath, you'll have nothing to fear.
Now here I am at the end of my journey,
Whisked thru hospital doors on a hard gurney.
Voices are fading, my vision is dimming,
Suddenly I'm diving into a deep blue sea
feeling the cold water all around me...
And in the horizon is this huge ball of bright light
And that familar voice, telling me,
To let go, for everything is going to be all right.
And then swoooooooooooosh, my last breath is drawn
and I am gone.

Thank you Sadijara for that vivid depiction of our journeys. Good to hear from you again. I've been on a personal journey to increase my light and only get back on occasion.

"Late Have I Loved You"

Late have I loved you
O beauty ever ancient, ever new.

Late have I loved You
And behold,
You were within; and I without,
and without I sought You.
And deformed I ran after these forms
of beauty You have made.

You were with me
But I was not with You.
Those things held me back from You,
things whose only being
was to be in You.

You called; You cried;
and You broke through my deafness.
You flashed; You shone;
and you chased away my blindness.
You became fragrant;
and I inhaled and sighed for You.

I tasted
and now hunger and thirst for You.

You touched me;
and now I long for Your embrace.

Lust is that snake; How say you it is dead?
It is only frozen by the pangs of hunger.
If it obtains the state of Pharoah,
So as to command the (frozen) rivers to flow,
Straightway it is led to pride like Pharoah's,
And it plunders the goods of many a Moses and Aaron.
Through pressure of want this snake is as a fly,
It becomes a gnat through wealth and rank and luxury.
Beware, keep that snake in the frost of humiliation,
Draw it not forth into the sunshine of "Iraq!
So long as the snake is frozen, it is well;
When it finds release from frost you become its prey.
Conquer it and save yourself from being conquered.

Yesterday:

The echo of the path
"IAM" to follow today.

The choices are behind me,
But do not lead me.

Each step
In the direction of
tomorrow.

Determined by this moment.
