- I am resting up after a lifelong career in journalism, writing for newspapers and magazines, and being present at the birth of WGBH TV.
After working a various writing and assistance projects at WGBH FM-TV while attending Boston University, ai moved to California and commenced a journalism career at the Berkeley (CA) Daily Gazette , covering the University of California through the demonstration years, (1964 - 69- while winning 2 San Francisco Press Club awards, one for the first serious look at drug trafficking in the East Bay are in 1966, and for a series on the impending property tax rebellion, in 1970, which culminated 3 years later in the passage of the Jarvis Amendment (Prop. 13)
A career shift in 1973 led me to New York and 12 years of research and writing for Marketing and Media Decisions, a trade journal which explored the way in which corporate marketing campaigns are planned and translated into media strategies, ending my stint there as Executive Editor. After a 1 year sojourn on the business section of the New York Post, I relocated back to Boston, to write about how electronic components are chosen and purchased for the computer industry, with 6 years at Electronics Purchasing, (Cahners Publishing/Reed Elsevier) and 3 more years at Computer Reseller News (CMP Publications.).
Since retiring, I have free lanced for CMP and Tech Target.Com. My keyboard is still handy if interesting projects come along.
I have also participated in a variety of conscious evolving programs, and consulted with others on the matter of how the spirit interacts with the body, mind and universe. Some of my time currently goes into working with a small committee of dedicated condo owners in keeping our East Fenway neighborhood from being overrun by rambunctious developers and the ever eager to expand Northeastern University

Trustworthy government?
As we approach what is considered to be a very important election, can we not help wonder no matter who wins, if that person will have the confidence of the nation t to put forward whatever solutions are deemed best to solve the thorny problems that hound us.

Britney Ubiquitious
That's right, she's everywhere. Just in the last 2 weeks her sorry face bloated up on the cover of Rolling Stone, and she was the subject of a Sunday NY Times op ed piece. What a sad trip, from post teen pop star darling to paunchy slut, in and out of rehab almost weekly, judged an endangerment to her child, and nabbed for DUI. She seems totally unable to control her behavior

You have a most interesting profile. I was living in the Bay Area around Berkeley in the '60's during those
troubled times while you were writing for the Gazette. I found myself in the middle of the tear gas and National Guard's crowd control one too many times.
We moved from Berkeley to Upcountry - Maui for several years, and now we're living in Groveland, CA, in the High Country Sierras, 25 miles from Yosemite National Park.
We upgraded our home at Pine Mountain Lake with solar panels, grid-tied for the next 3 years only, then we'll go off-grid with PG&E. We are developing organic gardens and food crops to sell at the local Farmer's Market. Drilled and installed our water well last summer.
Back to the peaceful life in nature's wonderland, and away from the crowds. Our computers keep us in touch with the world. What more could you ask for?
Oh, we're researching and looking for EV Cars, or conversions, and I started a new Group - the EV Cars Club on Superlife.
